SYNOPSIS

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA chronicles the solitary life of Boston janitor Lee (Oscar winner Casey Affleck), from award winning director Kenneth Lonergan (MARGARET). In their small Massachusetts fishing village, Lee’s world is shaken following the death of his older brother Joe (Kyle Chandler), when he is named sole guardian of his 16-year-old nephew Patrick (Lucas Hedges). He returns to Manchester to care for Patrick, and once there, is forced to deal with a past that separated him from his wife (Michelle Williams).
